School Starts

This was Pascale's first week of big-girl school! They start Reception (which is sort of like American Kindergarten) at age 4 here. She was a bit apprehensive on the first day, but she's starting to make friends and have fun there. There's one little girl that she seems to get on with quite well, so maybe they can be friends and look out for each other. Josephine spends all day asking when her sister will come home. Josephine will be starting preschool in a couple of weeks.

Holiday in America

We've just returned from 3 weeks in the States! We stayed in Bradley Beach NJ, which is a really nice town. It's very laid-back, with good Italian restaurants. One of the things I was craving was American-style pizza, and we compared every pizza place in town. I can't really determine which was the best. We stayed in Jersey because the majority of our relatives are there, and we got to see people just about every day.

We rented a car while we were there, and Josephine was quite upset when we returned it. She occasionally asks where the red car went.

Cousins! Cousins! redux

The Cousins visited last week! It's so nice to see family, esp since we're so far away. Christian, Calvin, Ethan and Aunt Hallie were in the UK for a wedding, so they stopped by to see us. We had lunch, went to the Victoria and Albert Museum, then came back to the flat to hang out a while. The girls just loved running around with their cousins.
