This may have been the warmest week since we arrived in London. We could actually leave the house in shorts.

We went to the Natural History Museum because Maisy goes there in one of Josephine's books. As soon as we saw the dinasaur skeleton, which is located in the entryway, they both wanted to go home.
Here's the real reason they like going to museums.
Pascale and I went to a West End production of The Sound of Music on Saturday! Going to the theater is one thing I thought we'd do a lot of when we moved to the city, but this is the first time we're getting around to it. Pascale just loved it for maybe the first hour, but it was a bit long for her. We've been watching the film at home, and it helped that she knew all the songs.
We've all had a stomach bug this week. First Pascale, then Josephine, then me and Bernie. We did manage to leave the house once in a while, though.

Pascale made her own dress! She taped all the seams together and I sewed over the tape.
We went to Gambado (the big indoor playspace). It was cool because there was pretty much no one else there. They got to go on the carousel 5 or 6 times in a row.
Pascale's summer vacation started last Wednesday. She's a little discombobulated by all this free time, but I sort of like it. Our new playground is really helpful in passing the time. Not only are the toys great, but because it's the new playground, everyone from the surrounding neighborhoods is going there. This means that Pascale runs into a friend or 2 from school every time we go there. It's so much easier than arranging play dates!
typical London weather -- rainy and sunny at the same time.
Pascale had a dance recital on her next-to-last day of school.
Aunt Ginny is visiting this week, AND the playground has opened AND Pascale had 3 parties for classmates' birthdays. SUCH an exciting week! Pascale's school ends this coming Wednesday, so all the kids with summer birthdays are having parties before everyone scatters for the summer.
